An awareness week is being run across Europe to raise the profile of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
The ADHD Alliance for Change hopes to build support for changes to policies across the continent during the week.
During the week the campaigners hope to collect stories from sufferers so they can identify key policy changes.
They say the condition is not given the attention it deserves.
Kate Carr-Fanning, a PhD student who is vice-chair of the campaign in Ireland, said: "As someone who lives with ADHD and works with others with the condition, I know how vital it is that we come together to dispel the myths and misunderstanding about ADHD.
"“We can do this by uniting the voices of all those affected, that includes parents, other family members, teachers, healthcare professionals, and anyone else who comes into contact with people with ADHD."
Fintan O’Regan, a British member of the group, said: "This valuable support and the real voices behind the condition will provide the framework to help ensure that ADHD is given the attention it deserves."
