The Ebola virus has reappeared in Liberia, it was announced yesterday.
Three patients from the same family are being treated for the virus, the World Health Organisation said.
Some 149 contacts, including ten health workers, are now being monitored for signs of infection.
Liberia was declared free of the virus on September 3.
The first patient, a boy of 15, was admitted to hospital in Greater Monrovia last week. His brother, aged eight, and father, aged 40, have since been found to be infected.
A WHO spokesman said: "Investigations to establish the origin of infection are at an early stage."
